Veterinary surgeons

Frank Greene B.V.M.S. M.R.C.V.S.

Frank qualified from Glasgow University Vet School in 1987.

His interests are small animal medicine and surgery. He obtained an additional qualification in Small Animal Medicine (GP Cert SAM) in 2006 to supplement his vast clinical experience.

Frank became a Partner in 1990 the youngest and first of his year group to do so.

Frank is married with three children and has a Border Terrier dog called Teddy.

Adele Bates B.V.M.& S. M.R.C.V.S

Adele graduated from Edinburgh Vet school in 2005 and after a year working in mixed practice in Derbyshire, came to Taylors in 2006 and has loved living in Glasgow ever since.

Adele is particularly interested in surgery of all kinds, especially soft tissue and facial surgery, she also has a special interest in diabetic animals.

Adele has a crazy 7 yr old collie called Millie and a 9 month old white prince of a cat called George - see the Practice Facebook page for photos!!

Anne-marie McDowall B.V.M.S. M.R.C.V.S.

Anne-marie qualified from Glasgow University in 2000 and has been working primarily with small animals ever since. Before moving to Taylors her first job with another vets practice on the south side of Glasgow, having spent a lot of time there as a student.

After working at Taylors for 6 years Anne-marie decided to develop her interest in veterinary public health and the ways in which diseases are trnasmitted between humans and animals and completed a Masters in Veterinary Public Health with Glasgow University gaining a distinction.

Anne-marie's other professional intersts included feline medicine and small animal haematology.

When not working Anne-marie enjoys running and playing badminton, she has raised money for several charities walking the West Highland way or by taking part in distance runs.

Laura Whiteford B.V.M.S. M.R.C.V.S.

Laura graduated from Glasgow University Vet School in 2004 with a commendation.

Laura started her career in a First Opinion Small Animal Practice in Govan & Paisley where she gained her LVI status and completed her A1 Nurse Assessor training.

Laura joined Taylors in 2007 and as the Practice had been her base Practice for training during her student days she was excited to return 'home'.

Laura's main clinical interests are internal medicine and dermatology.

As our 'local girl', living most of her life in Cambuslang, Laura now lives in East Kilbride with her fiancee, their Great Dane Charlie, Bentley the Bulldog and Leah the Ragdoll cat.

Outside work Laura enjoys attending the gym and beating her fiancee at badminton! She also enjoys walking in the local parks with her dogs and socialising with her friends.

Laura Grafton B.V.M. & S. M.R.C.V.S.

Laura qualified from Edinburgh in 2007. She spent her first 2 years working in small animal practice in Torquay and then moved back to Glasgow to join the gang at Taylors.

Laura has an interest in soft tissue surgery but her passion is rabbit and rodent medicine, surgery and dentistry (in particular all things Guinea Pig!). Laura is also happy to treat those with feather and scales and is one of the attending vets for Calderglen Country Park zoo collection.

Laura lives in a mad house consisting of Scone the rabbit and 4 noisy guinea pigs Whoopee, Pie, Pudding and Trifle.

Catherine Cormack B.V.M.S. (Hons) M.R.C.V.S.

Catherine graduated from the University of Glasgow Veterinary School in 2007, having achieved honours and distinction in her degree. Catherine spent four years in a mixed predominantly small animal practice in Fife before joining Taylor Veterinary Practice in March 2011.

Catherine enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but in particular her interests include ultrasonography and ultrasound guided biopsises as well as opthalmology and neurology.

Bill Kennedy B.V.M.S. M.R.C.V.S.

Qualified at Glasgow Vet School in 1986 and started working for Taylor Veterinary Practice in 1988 becoming a Partner in 1991. Bill has seen the Practice evolve hugely into one of the largest small animal practices in the country.

Over the past 25 years Bill has developed a  love and interest for orthopaedic surgery and dealing with chronic pain especially using acupuncture.

Bill lives with his family and a menagerie of animals of which there are too many to list!

Emma Timperley B.V.M.S. M.R.C.V.S.

Gail Dickson B.V.M.S. M.R.C.V.S. GPCert (FelP)


Gail qualified from Glasgow University Veterinary School in 1991. After working in a few practices in Scotland and spending seven years in South Wales, she happily returned to settle in her childhood home town, when she joined Taylors in April 2011.

Gail enjoys surgery and medicine and has a particular passion for feline medicine. With a love for learning Gail has continued to study throughout her career achieving a certificate in feline practice (GPcert FelP) and in veterinary acupuncture (Cert VetAc IVAS) and is currently working towards a small animal medicine certificate Cert AVP (Small Animal Medicine Feline).

When not working Gail enjoys ashtanga yoga, world cinema and spending time with her partner and four cats - Chumley and Isha (senior citizens at 19 and 20 years although they don't like to talk about their age!) and the two young hooligans (8 and 9 years) Bodger and Elliot. They are all looking forward to the new arrivals, four ex-battery hens in the next few months.

Louise Macpherson B.V.M.S. M.R.C.V.S.

Louise graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2005. After spending her first year in a mixed Practice in the Yorkshire Dales, she returned North to join Taylors in the autumn of 2006.

Louise enjoys the wide variety of work at Taylors and her particular interests are dentistry, the treatment of arthritis and weight management.

Louise lives on the South side of Glasgow with her husband, their young son and 2 rescue dogs.

Rachel Wood B.V.M. & S. M.R.C.V.S.

After qualifying from Edinburgh University in 2008, Rachel worked in a busy small animal practice in Leeds before returning to Scotland to join the team at Taylors in summer 2010.

Rachel has a particular interest in dermatology also canine and feline internal medicine.

Rachel owns a very naughty little cat called Barney who came to her as a stray and Travis & Tom, two very old, very large goldfish.
